Gubbivani Trust is a registered not-for-profit organisation based in Mysuru. We strive to build an informed and empowered society where all citizens, especially women, are equipped to engage with democratic processes, influence governance and lead change.
We also envision a future where women play central roles in improving their quality of life through knowledge and self-reliance, shaping their communities and participating confidently in creating a just, inclusive, and equitable society.
Our Objective
Educate and equip individuals with the information needed to navigate and engage with government systems; Educate and equip women with the tools they need to lead more empowered, dignified and self-reliant lives.
Engage citizens in community activities that aim to improve social conditions, with women playing key roles in leadership and action.
Empower all citizens, especially women, through knowledge and hands-on experience in democratic processes, encouraging them to become confident, active participants in civic life.

Malavika Gubbivani
Founder Trustee
An ex IT professional with nearly 15 years experience. Has a decade long experience in social work and activism; has engaged in several women’s causes, anti-corruption drives, pro-Kannada campaigns, environment related activities. Educating citizens about their rights & duties and empowering them through the experience of participating in democracy; helping women become self reliant and achieve their dreams is her passion.

Shanthala Damle
Executive Director, Avala Hejje
Shanthala Damle holds an MBA from Virginia Tech, USA and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from BDT College of Engineering, Davangere, Karnataka. She worked as an IT professional, in India for 4 years and in the United States for 12 years. After returning to India in 2010, she has been engaged in social work and activism with focus on anti-corruption and women empowerment.

Usha Sampathkumar
Outreach Coordinator
Hailing from Bengaluru, Usha SampathKumar is a social activist. A graduate in English Literature as well as in Education, She was a teacher in several schools including Vishwa Mangala Education Society, Mangalore University Campus. She has been associated with Samata, Mahila Dourjanya Virodhi Okkoota, Mysuru.

Raghavendra Udupa
Founder Trustee
Raghavendra is an IT Professional, with 25+ years contribution to leading IT Company Infosys. As the Anchor of SOFTEN, the CSR wing of Infosys Mysuru, he and his Team have executed many projects in Education and Healthcare Sectors. He has shared his Management experience in various Leadership workshops and forums.
